About

Hello! I'm Jonathan Woodley.
IT Geek, Sustainability Reporting/Data Analyst, and Data Science/Machine Learning Enthusiast.

*NOTE* This page is a work-in-progress. Bear with me while I upload all the fun projects I've worked on!

Skillsets, acquired.

Here are some of my core competencies:

  • Python
  • Power BI
  • MS Office/Google Suite
  • Power Apps/Power Automate
  • Data Automation
  • SQLite3/PostgreSQL
  • Machine Learning: Regression
  • Machine Learning: Classification
Most Recent Certifications:
Machine Learning Specialization Building Machine Learning Models in Python
Advanced Learning Algorithms Unsupervised Learning, Recommenders, Reinforcement Learning Supervised Machine Learning

There are more! Some others that aren't listed include several Microsoft Certifications, Powershell, and soft skills... I am constantly learning and generally pick up skills as needed for my role.

A Few Accomplishments

Here are some of my past achievements:

Calculating Commute Distance with Bing Maps API

To understand the amount of Greenhouse Gas emissions (GHG) come from commuting, I used internal address data on 30k+ employees to query the Bing Maps API. I then combined the distance data with national statistical database and emission factors to arrive at an accurate estimate of Scope 3.7 emissions!

Summarize YouTube Video

A Python/Streamlit web app that utilizes Whisper to transcribe a YouTube video and then summarizes it using the OpenAI API.

**UPDATE** App is no longer online, but you can still check out the source code and run it locally if you wish: GitHub.

Habit Tracker CLI

A cool little project I did for University. This Command-line interface (CLI) is a perfect lightweight, easy-to-use tool for tracking habits. If you're a CLI-nerd then this is a good replacement for your other desktop habit-tracking app.

Queue Notifications with Power Apps and MS Teams

A polite and convenient queue notification system that even a Swede would be happy to use. This project helped solve the questions, "Is that person looking for help right now?" (IT perspective), and "Who do I ask for help / is someone available?" (stakeholder perspective).

Collaboration Open House

An idea to bring knowledge of services to the stakeholders, realized. I organized several conferences across Europe and assisted with planning several more across the globe. The result? Thousands of visitors, lots of fun, and many skills acquired thanks to the help from everyone involved.

Developing Training to Upskill the Business

Remote collaboration at it's finest - this was a fun project! I worked with a small team of three to develop training to upskill a business unit. We used Articulate 360 to create a professional and interactive training module. It was very well-received and was eventually rolled out company-wide (40k+ users).

Automating Stock Data Retrieval

A personal project in which I got tired of visiting the same websites everyday. So I pulled the data together into Google Sheets for easy reviewing in a single location.

Building a Stock Trading Dashboard in Google Sheets

An extension to my data retrieval project, this dashboard and underlying dataset helped give me a good overview of my stock portfolio and recent trades. Complete with statistics of past performance.
